Resignations
Six town officials and employees have left under the current First Selectman’s term, including a Tax Collector, an Assistant Tax Collector, a Public Works employee, an assistant Town Clerk, a Building Official and a town crew employee. Many of these resigned due to a hostile work environment, further proving our Town Hall and Town are no longer welcoming.

Risking Our Future
The new dog park in town was acquired partially through funds from the Local Capital Improvement Program (LoCIP). Unfortunately, multiple requirements to use these funds were not met properly, putting our town’s access to future funding at risk.

Throwing Away Money
The First Selectman has voted against MULTIPLE cost saving measures and voted for spending unnecessary funds. Our hardworking Tax Collector was denied a basic cost-of-living raise causing her to leave office. Our First Selectman then voted for hiring a company for $10,000 a month under a five month contract, ultimately spending $27,000 more than necessary. On top of that, qualified local auditors offered North Canaan affordable alternatives used successfully by neighboring towns but our First Selectman voted to use the auditing services that are more than DOUBLE the amount. Why is it so easy for him to throw away our town’s money?
